LinkedIn founder invests in EF

Entrepreneur First (EF), the London-headquartered company that invests in individuals pre-team and pre-idea and helps them create technology startups, raised $12.4 million in new funding.
The round was led by Reid Hoffman (LinkedIn founder), with participation from Greylock Partners, Founders Fund, Mosaic Ventures and Lakestar Capital. As part of the investment, Hoffman has joined the board of the company.
The new capital will enable EF to expand its operations in the UK and Singapore, build world-class alumni and commercial support services, and increase its brand recognition, especially in the US.
Encore is a cornerstone investor in EF’s first fund, and an investor in the management company. Continuing its support for the business, Encore has also participated in the latest round of funding.
